President muhammadu buhari promise to

Buhari Promises To Overhaul Education Sector, Remodel 10,000 Schools Every Year

President Muhammadu Buhari has promised to overhaul the education sector if he is re-elected as president in 2019.

As part of efforts to do so, he says his administration will remodel 10,000 schools every year.

The president said this on Sunday at an event tagged ‘The Next Level’, to mark the launch of his campaign ahead of the election.

He said, “Perhaps our biggest ambition yet, is the overhaul of our education sector. Every child counts and whatever it takes to prepare our teachers’ curriculum and classrooms to attain the right educational goals to grow our country, will be done.

“We will remodel 10,000 schools every year and retrain our teachers to impart Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics using coding, animation in the curriculum”.

Speaking further, the President promised to intensify the anti-graft war, to bring an end to the menace and ensure that the nation’s resources are maximaized.

“We know that to succeed, moral integrity and conscience must continue to form the dominant character of our nation and its leadership.

“Corruption is an existential threat to Nigeria, despite the gains we have made in closing the gates, we know that there is still much ground to cover to stop systematic corruption. We are committed to deepening the work we started this past term, such that the nation’s assets and resources continue to be organized and utilized to do good,” he said.

On the achievements of the past four years, the President stated that although his administration witnessed some challenges, it worked hard to fulfil its promises.

He said, “Four years ago, we promised Nigerians real change in what we do and how we do it. Nigerians sent a clear message in the last election and our platform offered a new ambitious plan for a secure, prosperous and corruption-free country.

“We have worked hard to fulfil our promises and while the road may have been difficult over the last three and a half years, we have laid a foundation for a strong, stable and prosperous country for the majority of our people.

“Foundational work is not often visible, neither is it glamorous but it is vital to achieving the kind of country we desire.

“Judging by the depths of decay, deterioration and despair that Nigeria has sank into, we are certain that these past few years have put us in good stead to press on the next level of building an even stronger nation for our people.”

The President also highlighted his administration’s achievements in the areas of security, as well as economic development.

He said, “We liberated 17 local government areas from the grip of insurgency, brokering and sustaining peace in the Niger Delta, has also been crucial to stabilizing the polity, despite the difficult circumstances presented by weak oil prices and reduced oil production, we delivered on our promises to make public investments to spur economic growth, job creation and prosperity.

“Agriculture continues to expand our economic base, as do our investments in deficient infrastructure across the length and breadth of this nation.

“We implemented a responsible and transparent fiscal plan for the challenging economic times that saw us doing more even with lesser oil revenues”.

President Buhari, therefore, promised that if he is re-elected, his administration will intensify the efforts it has started in its key campaign areas.

“The next four years will be quite significant for our country. Nigeria is faced with a choice to keep on building a new Nigeria or to go back to its stunted past which favoured only and opportunistic few.

“Our choices will surely shape us, define clearly our economic security and our future prosperity.

“Nigeria, more than ever before, needs a stable and people-focused government to move the development of our country forward. Join us on this journey to a prosperous, strong and stable Nigeria.

“The achievements and projections I have enumerated above are just a summary of what we have done and what we intend to do in our next term if Nigerians graciously give us a second term mandate,” he said.

Furthermore, he urged all candidates and their supporters to carry out their campaign activities in a peaceful manner.
Thanks.

Best way to trace your stolen phone

BEST WAY TO TRACE YOUR  STOLEN PHONE WITHOUT GOING TO POLICE STATION

If you lose your mobile phone, you can trace it without going to the police.

Most of us always fear that our phones may be stolen at any time.

Each phone carries a unique
IMEI no. i.e. International Mobile Equipment Identity No which can be used to track it anywhere in the world.

This is how it works:

1. Dial *#06# from your mobile.

2. Your mobile phone shows a unique 15 digit.

3. Note down this number at a secure place except in your mobile phone itself as this is the number which will help trace your phone in case of theft.

4. Once stolen, just E-mail this 15 digit IMEI No. to cop@vsnl.net with details as stated below:

Your name:____________________
Address:______________________
Phone model:_________________
Make:_________________________
Last used No.:_________________
E-mail for communication:_____
Missed date:___________________
IMEI No :_______________________

5.Your Mobile will be traced within next 24 hours via a complex system of GPRS and internet, You will find where your hand set is being operated and the new user's No. will be sent to your email.

6. After this, you can inform the Police with the details you now have.

PLEASE  spread this fact

Buhari thanked the committee and restated his government resolve for better welfare for Nigerian workers.

His full speech below after receiving the report below:

“On 27th November 2017, I inaugurated the National Minimum Wage Committee with a mandate to recommend a new minimum wage for the workers of our country.

“This exercise became necessary for many reasons. The last review took place in 2011. We all know since then, the prices of key consumables have increased and the most vulnerable of our workers are struggling to make ends meet.

“Since 2011, many changes have taken place. Nigeria rebased its GDP to become the largest economy in Africa. We reported very strong GDP growth rates and exceptional performance of our capital markets. However, these reported successes did not flow into the pockets and homes of majority of Nigerians.

“In the last three years, we focused on correcting this deficiency. We are working to create a diversified and inclusive economy.

“We are pushing to clear pension arrears owed to our retired workers with the limited resources available to us.

“We supported State Governments to pay workers salary. And of course, we set up a committee in order to review the minimum wage of workers.

“In constituting this committee, we took into account the need for all stakeholders to be adequately represented – the government, the private sector and most importantly the workers. Our goal was to get an outcome that was consensual.

“From the onset, we knew the committee had a difficult task ahead of it. But at the same time, we were also confident that the patriotic and professional background of its members would produce realistic, fair and implementable recommendations that will be considered by both the executive and legislative arms of government.

“I am not surprised that the committee has worked for close to one year. I am also not surprised that on a few occasions, the debates got heated and sometimes, these differences came out.

“What is truly inspiring is that, in almost all instances of disagreements, the committee members always came back to the negotiating table with a common goal of improving the welfare of Nigerian workers. On behalf of all Nigerians today, I want to thank you for your commitment and sacrifice in getting us to where we are today.

“In the past few days, I have been receiving regular updates on your deliberations. And today, I am pleased that you have completed your work in a peaceful and non-confrontational manner. The entire nation is grateful to you all.

“The Committee Chairman highlighted some of the challenges encountered during your deliberations, especially as it relates to having a consensus position acceptable by all parties.

“I understand, on the government side, the concerns raised were around affordability – that today many states struggle to meet their existing salary requirements.

“On the side of labour, the points raised focused on the need for any increase to be meaningful.

“In a way, both arguments are valid. I want to assure you all that we will immediately put in place the necessary machinery that will close out these open areas. Our plan is to transmit the Executive Bill to the National Assembly for passage within the shortest possible time.

“I am fully committed to having a new National Minimum Wage Act in the very near future.

“Let me use this opportunity to recognise the leadership of the organized labour and private sector as well as representatives of State and Federal Governments for all your hard work. The fact that we are here today, is a notable achievement.

“As the Executive Arm commences its review of your submission, we will continue to engage you all in closing any open areas presented in this report. I therefore would like to ask for your patience and understanding in the coming weeks.

“May I therefore, employ workers and their leaders not to allow themselves to be used as political weapons.

“Thank you and may God bless our country.”
