The Director of Voters Education and Publicity of INEC in Kano state  Malam Muhammad Garba Lawal has  said that Governor-elect Dr  Abdullahi  Umar Ganduje, his deputy Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna and forty members of the state house of assembly will be handed over their Certificate of Returns on Wednesday Next week.


he Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Director of Voters Education and Publicity Muhammad Garba Lawal gave the hints to this reporter on Friday.

Garba said that INEC national commissioner in charge of Kano, Jigawa and Katsina, Engr. Abubakar Nahuche is expected to present the certificate of returns to the elected officers.
However, members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) won 27 out of the 40 seats of the state house of assembly while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) secured 13 seats.


o this end, the PDP were able to clear eight constituencies that constituted the eight local government areas in the municipality.
The incumbent Governor and Governor-elect Abdullahi Umar Ganduje defeated his closest rival in the PDP and anointed candidate of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Abba Kabiru Yusuf with 1,033,695 and 1,024,713 respectively.

Ganduje was declared winner of the supplementary poll by Professor Bello B. Shehu with a difference of 8,982 votes margin.


n his acceptance speech Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje promised to continue from where he stopped. And would do justice to all manner of people.
